The author of the study, Louis J. Ignarro is a Nobel Prize winner in Physiology or Medicine who won the award in 1998. He claims that this breathing technique is more beneficial as the nasal cavities produce the molecule nitric oxide or NO. This molecule increases blood flow through a person's lungs and also boosts oxygen levels in the blood.
So, when a person is breathing through their nose, nitric oxide reaches their lungs directly without interruption. This works to block the replication of the coronavirus in the lungs.?
Other than that higher oxygen levels in blood can make you feel refreshed as well.
