An intoxicated rider, who on New Year's Day refused to wear a mask in a taxi, was arrested and fined $690 (Rs 50,000 approximately).?
Furthermore, the driver took him straight to the police station after a night out instead of kicking the bloke out of the car. Talk about being served.?
The Victoria, Vancouver-based driver called 911 to say that a man was refusing to wear a mask in his car.
Reportedly, the passenger even brushed the face of the driver and declined 'belligerently' to adhere to the COVID-19 Relevant Measures Act guidelines. That is when the cab driver decided to teach the ill-mannered and irresponsible bloke a lesson, and took him to the police station.?

When the taxi arrived, it was met by officers at the headquarters of the Victoria Police Department, but the man refused to get out. Eventually, he was removed and taken into custody.
On each count, he was fined $230 - for failing to wear a face covering, being aggressive or belligerent, and for failing to comply with an officer's order.

Even though the vaccination process has started in most first world countries, it is still unwise to not wear a mask, especially with the knowledge of the mutating virus. Even after the vaccination, the virus might not disappear overnight, and we must be as cautious as possible for as long as it takes.
