If you know Bollywood, you would know that it does not let go of a single opportunity to make a movie. The latest addition to this bundle of questionable ideas is the pandemic COVID-19, that has taken over our world. So, while the lot of us are keeping a low profile and working from home, filmmakers are registering movie titles in the name of the virus.
According to a Times of India report, a source from IFTPC (Indian Film and Television Producer Council) stated that one of the first titles to be registered is Corona Pyar Hai?by Eros International. The source also mentioned that this film will give a 'virus' twist to the 2000 Kaho Na... Pyar Hai which starred Hrithik Roshan and Ameesha Patel.?
Producer Krishika Lulla confirmed for The Quint that the film title has been registered. He said, ¡°Currently the scripting is going on. The subject (of the epidemic) is going to be set in a love story. Currently, we are fine tuning the script and are waiting for things to subside, as things have come to a standstill now. Once everything is normal, we will start the project in full swing.¡±?
IMPPA (Indian Motion Picture Producers' Association) also made a statement that they were approached by filmmakers and producers who wanted to register movie titles based on the novel pandemic. One of the names registered was 'Deadly Corona'. (0 points for creativity.)
This is not the first time that Bollywood is jumping at an opportunity based on something that isn't pleasant at all. Earlier, when Article 370 was abrogated in Kashmir, movie titles such as?Kashmir Hamara Hai and?Dhara 370?and?Dhara 35A were registered by filmmakers.
