A class VIII student?from Jhajjar¡¯s Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Kartikeya Jakhar created three apps after watching YouTube videos. He got into app development by accident.?During the pandemic, his father bought him a phone worth Rs 10,000 for his online classes. However, the phone began to develop issues.
After this, the smart kid used YouTube to repair the phone.?¡°The mobile phone had many issues as it used to hang during the coding process. With the help of YouTube, I fixed the phone and continued with my studies," Jakhar told Money Control.
He added, "I made three apps -- the first was related to General Knowledge named Lucent GK online. The second was Ram Kartik Learning Centre that teaches coding and graphic designing and the third was Shri Ram Kartik Digital Education. Now, these apps are offering free training to over 45,000 students."
He also said he is inspired by PM Modi and wishes to serve the nation some day. He also recieved a scholorship from Harvard University.?
His parents are extremely proud of him. His father Ajit Jakhar, a farmer, credited Jakhar's accomplishments to his sheer hardwork and determination.?¡°I urge the government to help my son so that he can develop other applications. He is an outstanding talent and I want that he shall serve the nation in digital technology. Our village has high power cuts but Karitkeya¡¯s zeal is so high that he is managing amid all crises," said the father, reported Hindustan Times.
