Gentlemen, if your girlfriends are always saying you don't shower them with enough flowers and chocolates, brace yourselves for some extra complaints. Billionaire Mark Zuckerberg has just revealed a gigantic statue of his wife, Priscilla Chan, in his garden. Well, when you have billions, a huge statue is just another day at the office!
"Bringing back the Roman tradition of making sculptures of your wife," Zuckerberg announced on Instagram.?
The 40-year-old billionaire commissioned a giant statue of his wife, Priscilla Chan, designed by acclaimed artist Daniel Arsham. The sculpture features a light blue figure with a silver cloak draped around it.
According to a blog by National Museums Liverpool, Roman statues and busts were often created to honour deceased loved ones or to commemorate significant family members, establishing meaningful connections and tributes.
In the comments, one user quipped, "Husbands everywhere are shaking."
Others reacted to Zuckerberg's grand gesture, with remarks like, "I apologise Mark, I wasn't familiar with your game," and "Ok I gotta respect this cause that's awesome. But he just raised the bar for the rest of us."
Another commented, "In all seriousness if Zuck can make his wife a sculpture you can at least get your girl some flowers,' while someone else said, "If I was a billionaire I would probably do this too."
However, not everyone was impressed.?
Some criticised the statue with comments like, "It looks kinda ugly, not gonna lie," and "Are there no truly gifted sculptors anymore? G move, but I would want my money back. And is that a neighbors house visible over the fence?! What is going on here?"
?Others simply described it as "weird" and "eerie."
What do you thinkĄĒawesome tribute or just plain weird?
