How often do you get a job that you didn't even apply for in the first place? Well, to burst your bubble, it doesn't happen. Many scammers fool people into thinking they got a job for them in order to later extort money.?
The same happened with IFS officer?Parveen Kaswan when he received?a text about being selected for a job that will pay him Rs. 9,700. No, the story doesn't get worse because he didn't fall for it and in turn warned people on Twitter about such scammers.?
?In a tweet, shared by IFS officer Parveen Kaswana, he shared the lucrative job offer he got. He didn't even apply for that job but it promised to pay him Rs 9,700. The post had a screenshot of a text message that read, "Your resume is reviewed in our company and the salary is9700 RS. Contact: https:// api.whatsapp.com/send?phone=917523823896toknowmorecallbmwnavnitmotorstcapply (sic)"?
The officer shared the screenshot and jokingly wrote, "Finally got the job offer. Now confused what to do." Following the sarcasm the officer also informed that it was a scam text and warned people to not fall for such traps. He further added, "Dear friends these days many fraudulent people or agencies keep sending these kind of SMS and Emails.DonĄ¯t react or click on the links. It can lead to data theft, hacking or financial fraud. Be safe."
Following the tweet, some people came out with similar stories. A user shared a similar screenshot, that they got, and wrote, "Sir, I think many of us are being shortlisted for this job. I just received my confirmation."
?Another added, "Greetings Sir! I got the same kind of text and did the same that i didn't apply."
?Some users found the message extremely funny. A user wrote, "I daily recieve these offers, just see my demand."
