Chinmay Moorjani, from Mumbai, achieved a score of 99.956 percentile in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2022's first session.?He is now among the top students, but he is unhappy with the result and will now wish to retake the engineering entrance exam.
The 17-year-old says he also wishes to compete in the second session of the engineering admission exam, which will start on July 21, to see whether he can perform better.
In an interview with News18, Moorjaani said, "I will be writing the JEE Mains second session exam as well, as it will help me increase my score."
In 2020, shortly after taking his class 10 board exam, he began his preparations. He has always had a passion for engineering and now aspires to succeed in JEE Advanced and join one of the best IITs in the country.
"I have always been passionate about engineering since my childhood. I aim to get into a top IIT," he said.
"While preparing for the exam, I made detailed notes and ensured I completed the study material on time. I solved as many previous yearsĄ¯ question papers and attempted two - three mock tests every week. Further, I also attended the live doubt-solving classes at the coaching institute," he said.
Chinmay chose to undergo coaching via Unacademy online.
His mother is a homemaker, while his father works as an architect. Additionally, he has a younger sister who is a class 8 student. Chinmay graduated from Ryan International School, a CBSE board-accredited institution, with a class 12 diploma.
He is awaiting his 12th-grade results after scoring a 98% on his 10th board exam.
Hisaria, who claimed to have received a 300 out of 300 on the exam, plans to take the fairly tough Joint Entrance Examination again just for practice. He claims that turning up for JEE Main session two will improve his time management.
