It is a proud moment for women of colour around the world, especially in the United States, as Kamala Harris becomes the first African, and the first Indian-American woman to become the Vice President of the country.
While addressing the nation, Harris emphasized on how her victory is a win for all the women out there who have been fighting for equal rights for decades, and it is on their shoulders that she stands. She also said she will continue the hard work for equality, liberty and justice.
