With a weight of 105.6 carats, the Kohinoor ranks among the largest cut diamonds in the world. It has been a source of contention between India and the UK for a long time.

According to Kohinoor experts, it has had many previous owners, including the rulers of the Mughal empire, the Shahs of Iran, the Sikh Maharahas, and the Emirs of Afghanistan. However, it has only been worn by female family members since arriving in the UK.
Now, Indians on Twitter are demanding it back. A user wrote, "The kohinoor diamond was founded in Indian soil. It represents to the British their dark brutal colonial history.Return Kohinoor to India...!!"
Another wrote, "Well, UK does owe more reperations to India. Kohinoor will not be enough. The entire UK needs to be sold to India."
