Frustrated with the ongoing delay in opening the newly constructed Manish Nagar underpass, several local residents took matters into their own hands on Monday.?
They removed the barricades, allowing vehicles to use the underpass.?
Soon after, MahaMetro officials, responsible for the project, addressed the situation and reinstated the barricades.?
However, there is still no official word on when the underpass will be formally inaugurated or which government body will make that decision.
With the underpass still closed, traffic has been rerouted to the old Manish Nagar underpass and Narendra Nagar bridge, resulting in frequent congestion and flooding, even after light rain.?
