Women's safety has been a topic of discussion for a long time now but, unfortunately, it has yet to be given the importance it deserves. Women are subjected to violence and discrimination all around the world and there will be no end to this until stricter laws come in place.
On the other hand, one's own sense of what is right and wrong is important but most men feel entitled towards invading a woman's privacy just because she is a woman, and it is high time such men are put in their places for their unethical and criminal behaviour.?
A woman, who goes by the username @Chivas_Desi on Twitter shared a disgraceful experience she had to go through solely because a man thought it is okay to do so.?

In a thread of tweets, she starts off by saying that women should not trust any man apart from those who are in their close circle of friends. She then moves on to explain why she feels so.
In the tweet, she explains how a Dell engineer had to visit her home to repair her laptop. Apparently, he opened his photo gallery on his phone by mistake and she happened to see her WhatsApp display picture saved in there.
Before we move on to what happened next, I would just like to take this moment to say that while this might be very confusing for men to understand, women can relate to this scenario in an instant because if it has already not happened to them, it is a thought that has crossed their minds. Am I right, ladies?
Anyway, in the next tweet, she explains how she confronted the engineer who denied it. However, when she didn't cave in, he started apologising to her and tried to get her sympathy by telling her that he will lose his job.
The woman also explains how she was already worried about revealing her display picture to strangers for this exact same reason and alas, it is exactly what happened.

This might come off as a very insignificant experience to some but for most, especially women, a group that has been subjected to sexual crimes, violence, discrimination and harassment?all their lives, this is extremely worrisome.
Men need to understand that a woman is not their property and the sooner they understand this concept which is simply common sense, the better it is for mankind.
