The extraordinary survival story of a man who struggled for his life after being abandoned in the Australian outback for 71 days is far from straightforward.?
Ricky Megee is well-known for becoming stuck while crossing the Northern Territory and Western Australia in 2006, at the age of 35.According to some stories, he claimed to be driving across Australia's Outback when his automobile broke down.

In another incident, he said he was drugged and stranded when his automobile was hijacked.In any case, he was suddenly left alone in the sweltering Australian sun with neither food or drink, according to his autobiography, published in 2010.
Going into survival mode, he claimed he was forced to build a temporary shelter out of random items and ate roasted frogs, lizards, and plants.As a result, he shed over 130 pounds of weight.?

And if he hadn't discovered a water source in the bush, he would most likely have died.He claimed to have gathered dew in plastic sheets and drank from puddles created by the occasional rain shower.
He also discovered a natural dam, and recalled his survival skills to The Times: "I ate the leeches raw, straight out of the dam. I just ate grasshoppers. But the only thing I actually needed to cook were the frogs."?
"I slipped them onto a bit of wire and stuck the wire on top of my [shelter], let the sun dry them out a fair bit until they were a bit crispy and then just ate them."?
A crew of station workers at the Birrindudu cattle station located him and eventually rescued him.?
