At Reliance Industries' (RIL) 43rd annual general meeting on July 15, Nita Ambani promised Reliance Foundation's full support in the fight against COVID-19.?This was the first time that Reliance AGM happened virtually and Nita Ambani addressed the Annual General Meeting (AGM) for the first time.?
Speaking at the Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries as a director for the first time, she also said that Reliance Foundation is looking to partner with the government for rapid mass-scale testing.??

¡°I can assure you as soon as a coronavirus vaccine becomes available, we will volunteer by using the same digital distribution and supply chain to ensure that the vaccine reaches every nook and corner of our country,¡± she said.
¡°In our culture, Anna Daan is Maha Daan. Mission Anna Seva is the largest meal distribution programme ever undertaken by a corporate foundation anywhere in the world,¡± Nita Ambani said while speaking at the annual general meeting.??
Talking about the Reliance Foundation, she said that in the last 10 years, the foundation has changed the lives of 30 million people in the country."At the time of the coronavirus outbreak, we set up India's first 100-bed special COVID-19 hospital in Mumbai in just two weeks," she said.?
?"Our doctors and nurses are selfless and tireless, trying to serve fellow Indians. One of the biggest challenges when the epidemic spread was the lack of PPE kits. We made the necessary changes to our manufacturing facilities to produce more than 1 lakh PPE kits and N95 masks every day in record time," she added.
Ambani further stated, "Reliance has also been providing free fuel to Emergency Service vehicles across the country. This is not just business for us. It is our duty, our dharma, our seva to the nation. Jio is providing digital connectivity to over 40 crore people, empowering over 30,000 organisations to work from home, and lakhs of students to learn from home, and?Reliance Retail is working overtime to provide essential supplies daily to millions of Indian families across 200 cities".??
Talking about the Education and Sports for All initiative, she said that through the endeavour Reliance Foundation has reached out to over 21.5 million children.

"Right from grassroots level ¨C we are working tirelessly to develop a holistic sporting ecosystem in the country,¡± she added.
Reliance Foundation has reportedly donated Rs 535 crore to various relief funds, including the Prime Minister's Citizen Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situations (PM CARES) fund.
