The bhoomi pujan ceremony in Ayodhya was celebrated with traditional religious rituals which involved priests donning saffron masks and bricks made of silver. It was broadcast live on television. According to reports, soil from around 2,000 holy sites and water from 100 holy rivers from around the country were used in the rituals.
