On 26 January 2023, India will celebrate its 74th Republic Day. Republic Day, also known as Gantantra Diwas, is celebrated with great enthusiasm across the country including in every school, college, government and private institution to honour the Constitution that came into force on January 26, 1950.
Every year, the main Gantantra Diwas celebration is held at the Rajpath or Kartavya Path in the national capital, New Delhi on January 26. On this day, an elaborate Republic Day parade takes place each year with participation from the Indian Army, Indian Navy, as well as the Indian Air Force.
