Everybody wants to get ahead in life. While some take the road of hard work and determination, many others want to get all the success in their lives through very minimal work or shortcuts.?
Let's just take the example of passing an examination. Sure, one can't pass or achieve the role they want without studying for these but some go through great lengths to pass these exams without really working hard for them.?
And no, we're not talking about some school level minute exams. People are so gutsy that they find different ways and tricks to pass a life-altering national exam as well.?
So, here are a few instances when students were not only cheating but were also caught for it :
Five people were arrested in Rajasthan for allegedly selling Bluetooth device-fitted 'chappals' worth Rs 6 lakh to candidates appearing in the teachers' recruitment exam, REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers).?The candidate had a device inside his ear and someone from outside the exam hall was helping him cheat.?
Medical and veterinary college students were caught in Sikar, Rajasthan after they were found cheating at a NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Tests).?Sikar police seized N95 masks stitched with mics connected with wireless earpieces from an 11-member gang. According to TOI, the small device fitted into the mask has a nano sim and a battery?and worked as a receptor.?The device can attend an incoming call with the press of a button.?
A four-member gang had put its men in charge as supervisors, lab assistants etc at an Air Force exam in Chandigarh. The person stationed at the centre would use body language to give the right answers to the examinee for objective type questions. An official told TOI,?"if the person put a hand in one pocket, the option was A,?if both hands were in the front pockets, it meant option B, if one hand was in the back pocket, it meant option C?and if both hands were under the underarms, it meant option?D. The stand at ease posture meant turn to the next question."
The girl candidate was found writing answers that were being communicated to her through a high-tech gadget, by her brother-in-law sitting outside the exam centre in UP's, Rae Bareli. Apparently, the girl had a locket made of wood, in which a microphone was hidden, while audio ear pins were attached to the face mask cord.
Police busted a 'Munna Bhai' cheating racket in which they arrested nine students including six medical students. These students charge a hefty amount to take the exam on behalf of weak candidates from well-off families. According to a?report, they charge ?20 to ?25 lakh from each student to take exams on their behalf.??
A Tamil Nadu-cadre trainee IPS officer was arrested for using a cellphone, a Bluetooth-enabled miniature camera in a shirt button and wireless earpieces for cheating in?the Union Public Service Commission (Main) Examination.?His wife was also arrested from Hyderabad for assisting him in cheating and dictating the answers.?
A group of men were seen climbing the boundary walls of a school to surreptitiously pass on chits to students writing their Class X exam in Maharashtra. The incident happened in Yavatmal¡¯s Mahagaon. Apparently, the boundary wall of the school was under construction which was why it came about.??
Eleven examinees from Haryana were arrested for allegedly using electronic gadgets to cheat during an online examination of the Staff Selection Commission in Powai, Mumbai. Several microphones, SIM cards and Bluetooth collar devices were retrieved by the authorities.?
¡°The accused had Bluetooth collar devices and microphones attached to their bodies. SIM cards were inserted into these devices and they had an earphone through which they heard the answers as told by someone from the other side. These devices were wrapped in carbon paper, due to which, they weren¡¯t detected during the security check while entering the centre,¡± an officer told Indian Express.?
As per the reports, the authorities found high-tech equipment like transmitters and receivers when they searched the car parked outside an examination centre. When they searched all the students taking the exams at the centre, they caught one student with the receiver and other digital equipment.?
A gang from Nagpur involved in helping people pass examinations for various?government posts using fraudulent means were caught and arrested by the local police. According to TOI, the gang used spy cameras to send photos of the exam paper?outside the centre, from where an accomplice would supply?answers over Bluetooth devices.?
During Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB), parents and friends were seen helping the students by risking their own lives as they scaled a high-rise examination centre building to pass on cheat sheets through the windows.? ?
Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) officials were in shock when they cracked a mass copying incident that involved as many as 959 students of class XII general stream students.?The students wrote the same answers for the same questions, in the same sequence and even committed the same mistakes.?
