Delicious food is a global phenomenon that transcends cultures and borders. Great food is always appreciated worldwide.?
This time, idli sambar has travelled across the ocean to a home cook in London. In a viral dish, a man made idli sambar from scratch, and Desis were all over it.
A UK man recently gained a lot of popularity after a video of him making real Rajasthani mirchi vada on Instagram went viral. In a recent video he released online, he can be seen making sambhar and rava idli, proving that his passion for Indian food hasn't diminished.?
As the video starts, it shows Dryan making sambhar by boiling some toor dal and adding some spices to it.?As the video goes on, we see him preparing batter by combining semolina, yoghurt, and tadka. He then prepares homemade sambhar masala and adds it to the vegetables. He plates sambhar, idli, and salad near the end, and it all looks delectable.
Dryan enjoys cooking and is now preparing dishes from every Indian state, as is clear from his Instagram page. Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Karnataka are the eight Indian states he has so far covered. He is currently cooking well-known meals from the Tamil Nadu region of India.
"Rava idli & sambar, i think i¡¯ve got the sambar down now, let me know, i made normal idli the other week so i wanted to try another variety¡ Rava (semolina) idli are easier to make and taste VERY similar even though originally from Karnataka," he wrote in the caption of the now-viral video.
Needless to say, the video went viral, and Desi loved every bit of it. The recipe was approved by all the Indians. A girl, who is South Indian, wrote, "As a South Indian, tamilian this is 10/10."
Another girl wrote, "Enough people are going to correct you that it's rava idly. I just wanted to say, that's a really soft rava idly! Good?job, it's tougher to make than the original."
A?girl joked and wrote, "When white guys make better Indian food than you."
A man added, "This is what 100% completion on the hardest?difficulty looks like." Here's what some other people wrote.?
