In today's fast-paced and demanding world, hustle culture has become deeply ingrained in our collective mindset. We live in a society that glorifies long working hours, relentless productivity, and the notion that success is only attainable through ceaseless dedication.
As a result, many individuals find themselves caught in a never-ending cycle of work, neglecting their mental and physical well-being in pursuing professional achievement.
One such example is HackerRank, a US tech company in California that recently introduced paid leaves for "rest and recharge." This software development firm is now receiving accolades for its commitment to prioritizing the health of its employees.
The email announced company-wide paid time off during the first week of July.
"We wanted to give you a heads-up that HackerRank will be on a company-wide PTO the first week of July. From July 1st to the 9th, our team and all of HackerRank will be taking a break to rest and recharge," the internal email stated, as per the screenshot.
One user expressed their enthusiasm, stating, "I love this! It promotes work-life balance."
Another person commended the initiative, saying, "This is great! Mental health should always be a priority."
