After Anna Sebastian's tragic passing many previous EY employees have come forward who shared similar struggles. EY has been a hot topic on social media- all for the wrong reasons- since the news about Anna broke out. To minimise the damage done to the company's reputation, EY has allegedly asked employees to refrain from commenting anything on social media on posts "regarding Anna" or the employee's stand to face "serious action."?
In a post, that has now sparked a conversation on LinkedIn about an EY employee, a user named Nikhil Kalra shared a screenshot of a text he received from an EY employee. The employee requested that his identity be kept hidden, so Kalra blurred the name of the employee.?
In the screenshot, the employee shared with Kalra that he commented on a post regarding Anna. The employee did not mention the name of EY but is still getting bullied by his "seniors" at work.
" I did not tell anything about EY but still I am bullied by a Seniors of my firm that ho can I comment so l had to delete. Then next day we had a call and are told to not do any comment post or anything. And people who has done this will face serious action. Then I got call from a partner saying how Can I do and should take care or serious action can be taken," the employee shared in text.?
Kalra labelled it as "insane" and shared the screenshot on LinkedIn with the caption, "21 Sep 2024 - #EY Employee confession!!This is really serious... Please share this as much?as?possible...."
People on the internet condemned the company for their bizarre behaviour. Some users said that the "system is not going to change," while others mentioned that it is "deeply heartbreaking."
