Authorities have stated that both suicide and overdose are potential causes of death. However, there is no evidence of a break-in or foul play. They are also looking into whether a note was left behind.
TAJOY Entertainment, Wheesung's agency, confirmed the passing away of the singer after the reports of his tragic demise began circulating online. According to the agency, Wheesung was found unresponsive at his home in Seoul and was pronounced dead. "The deceased was found in cardiac arrest at his home in Seoul and was pronounced dead,' the statement said.
The agency expressed their deepest condolences, stating that the family, fellow artists, and staff are all in mourning.
"It is heartbreaking to share this sad news with his fans who have shown him so much support and love. Please pray for the deceased so that he can rest comfortably," it added.
