Every year, students commit suicide for failing exams. While this needs to be countered with counselling and more support at home, teachers evaluating examination sheets need to understand how their callousness might affect someone*s future.
After 20 students committed suicide and protests followed, the government was compelled to order a re-evaluation of over 3 lakh answer sheets of students who had failed the exam.
