In an update almost everyone saw coming in the Diddy case, rapper Jay-Z's name has been added to a lawsuit against Sean Combs. The lawsuit, filed by Texas-based attorney Tony Buzbee in NYC on Sunday (December 8), claims the two musicians raped a 13-year-old girl back in 2000 at MTV Video Music Awards after-party.
Following the bombshell claims, many pictures and videos of Jay-Z and Diddy, who have a long-standing camaraderie, have resurfaced on social media, once again highlighting Diddy's gruesome crimes and Jay-Z's alleged support for the now-disgraced rapper.
Jay-Z has now penned a strong-worded note, slamming the accusations, accusing Buzbee of 'blackmailing' and basically saying, 'I will see you in the court'. Despite his denial of any involvement in the alleged crime, the rapper is facing intense social media backlash, with critics slamming him mercilessly. Amid the massive scrutiny, a video of the Young Forever hitmaker with the Bad Boy Records founder has resurfaced, which further solidifies the internet's belief in their close relationship.
The internet neither forgets nor does it forgive. Despite Jay-Z's lengthy note accusing his accuser, Buzbee, of blackmailing and threatening to take the matter to court, netizens are not buying his alleged innocent act. A video is being widely circulated on the web which shows Diddy and Jay-Z along with their friends attending Black Billionaires lunch and pledging solidarity.
Nothing wrong with a bunch of friends gathering for lunch to celebrate their milestones. But what's notable is that this get-together happened in 2020, a time when Hollywood seemed to be distancing itself from Diddy. This renewed focus on their friendship has raised eyebrows, especially considering the ongoing controversies surrounding Diddy.
In the said viral video, Diddy is seen addressing a group of his friends, infusing a sense of belongingness and close friendship among his pals with his powerful words.
"It's 2020, y'all, and it is different than when it was 2016. The game has been elevated. As you know, there has no expense been spared. We had a Black billionaire lunch year, understand, right? And, we're here together in keeping staying together. We're getting tighter, and united we stand," he says, before raising a toast to? 'us.' The group is then seen breaking into big cheers and laughter as they enjoy their drinks.?

Not only Jay-Z, Beyonc¨¦ has also been dragged into the drama as she was always her husband's plus one at Diddy's White Parties. The Cowboy Carter star has also been accused of 'supplying' young talent to the embattled rapper, a theory that also sparked 'Thank you, Beyonc¨¦' trend.
Diddy was arrested on September 16 in a New York hotel on charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking by force. His arrest came on the heels of a series of civil suits against him, accusing the rapper of sexual assault and physical violence. He is currently locked up in MDC Brooklyn where he awaits his May 5 trial. The rapper has pleaded not guilty to all the allegations levelled against him.
