The hype for GTA 6 is never-ending! Every day a new speculation or rumour keeps the fans alive who are eagerly waiting for the game to release.
Amid the swirling rumours about Grand Theft Auto VI's release date, which is believed to be in fall 2025 on Xbox and Sony PlayStation, Rockstar Games has maintained its silence over the matter.
On the other hand, before the game is officially launched, there are expectations that US President Donald Trump's tariffs will likely affect the price of the upcoming game.
Recently, a Swiss retailer listed the price of GTA 6 on its website for pre-orders at USD 112 (which is around INR 9,600). However, the listing was soon removed when it captured the massive attention of netizens and game enthusiasts.
The GTA 6 price may remain unaffected, as per reports. However, a leaked post showed a USD 114.99 (which is around INR 9,800), GBP 99.99 and 104.99 euros price tag.
If the leaked price is accurate, then it would mark a major departure from the standard $70 price tag for most next-generation AAA games.
A X (formerly called Twitter) under the user name @GTAVI_Countdown shared a post mentioning that GTA 6 was listed for over $100 by a reputable Swiss retailer before the listing was removed. Hence, could tariffs affect video game prices, and would you still pay that much for it?
The post instantly grabbed the attention of netizens online; some even shared their thoughts on the same.
One user wrote, "I¡¯m buying it no matter what!"
"If that is the price I'm pirating the game!!," another wrote.
"For $100, I better get 100 hours of chaos, a crypto scam arc, and a mission where I dismantle a woke tech cult.
Otherwise, refund me"
¡°For a game" no, for GTA VI yes.¡±
