Just as people are trying to get over the embarrassment of Indian family's loot from a Bali resort, another shameful video has surfaced.?
This time, the video shared by Harsh Goenka, current chairman of RPG Group conglomerate, shows an Indian-American guy allegedly pulling out a packet of cookies from a vending machine.
We all know that things drop down in the vending machine automatically when the payment is made, but this guy is seen forcefully pulling out a packet of cookies from the bottom row.
In the video a another man talking in Punjabi says, ¡°Look at what Punjabis do, they want to come to truckstop and steal snacks worth $1, they want it for free. Leave it, brother. Don¡¯t do it.¡±
On Twitter Harsh Goenka wrote, 'After #Gstaad and #Bali, here¡¯s the latest which makes me hang my head in shame #etiquette. Need a #SabhyaBharat campaign.'
Prior to this video, on the 22nd of July, the industrialist took to Twitter to post a picture of a notice from Hotel Arc-en-Ciel in Gstaad, Switzerland.
The hotel's breakfast buffet notice especially addressed Indians when they laid out rules not to steal or make too much noise on the premises and it was slammed for racism.?
Goenka wrote, 'reading this notice I felt angry, humiliated and wanted to protest.? But a realisation dawned that we as tourists are loud, rude, not culturally sensitive. With India becoming an international power, our tourists are our best global ambassadors. Let¡¯s work on changing our image!'
However, this statement soon went down the drain after the Bali hotel stealing fiasco.?
