If you are socially active you know by now that #sareeTwitter is trending heavily on Twitter with women like Priyanka Vadra Gandhi and Renuka Shahane joining in the trend and posting their elegant saree pictures on Twitter.
Twitter is flooded with the images of women celebrating the elegant and graceful attire and tweeting their pictures in sarees.?
Following that the men on Twitter seem to have started their own trend which is #beardTwitter. Men are posting their pictures in beards on Twitter and making the trend #beardTwitter viral.?When #sareeTwitter started trending a couple of days ago we tried to find the origin of the trend but were caught in a labyrinth of other trends which seemed to have no center of origin.?
?
In trying to find the origin of these trends we came across the ones like one is #bindiTwitter, #jhumkaTwitter, #paghdiTwitter and the most unbelievable one is #chappalTwitter. We are not kidding you. People are just posting pictures of their chappals on Twitter.
For some random reason - actually for no reason at all - men and women started posting their pictures in kurtas and kurtis hashtagging it #kurtatwitter before the #sareeTwitter trend. While a lot of people seemed to be enjoying this, there were others who asked people to stop posting their pictures in jhumkas and paghadis and kurtas, because the space isn't Instagram.?
It is true that Instagram is like the ¡®official¡¯ space to post your pictures, but what the hell right? It's social media.?
?
Just like everything these trends inspired memes too and some of them are hilarious. Same is happening with the #beardTwitter trend. Here is an example of a meme.?
?
Also, some men have captioned their pictures saying that the #beardTwitter is a response to #sareeTwitter which to be honest seems like an outlandish comparison. I mean saree is something you wear, beard is something that grows on you. Also, there need not be any comparisons to start a trend. One should not look for reasons to be self indulgent or simply enjoying some social media trend. However there is also #suitTwitter trend that is picking up.?
?
Men and women are getting to post their handsome and pretty pictures on Twitter, spreading positivity, harming no one? Well, we are up for it! After all, a little bit of narcissism never harmed anyone.?
Meanwhile we will keep an eye out for any such trend and inform you promptly so that you do not miss your chance to participate in it!?
