Inanother blood boiling case of animal abuse, a group of youths in Chandigarh flunga puppy from the third floor of an apartment building. The incident is reminiscent of the2016 Chennai case when a man was caught throwing a dog from the rooftop.?
In this case, the boys whothrew the puppy were reportedly under the influence of alcohol. A press release statesthat the incident took place in the?Adarsh Nagar area of Nayagaon,Chandigarh.?
A group of college girls living in the neighbourhoodheard the squeals of the dog they rushed over and questioned the boys. But the boys started abusing them left, right and centre.?

Fuming after the incident,the girls rushed over to the police to lodge a complaint, When the cops investigatedthe area, they retrieved syringes?atthe place of crime and established the boys were drug abusers.?
The press release states that police have not putin effort in nabbing the culprits who are now absconding. The matter has beentaken forward by a city-based animal rescue NGO named?FureverFriends.?
Mr Vikas Luthra, founder,Furever Friends organised a press conference at Chandigarh Press Club. Thegirls who raised the issue were also present at the press meet and complainedthat the police were protecting the accused and threatening them.?
