Bengaluru is a city known for its unicorn shades of life. Call it weird or simply unique, the city has proven its one-of-a-kind shade of life through its people. Whether it be the everyday grind mentality that startup CEOs preach about on LinkedIn or the bizarre anecdotes that tenants spew on Twitter, the city regularly surprises the internet with its peak Bengaluru moments.
This time around, the locals of Bengaluru were left fuming after they came across a man who was hailing a sign on Church Street that read, ¡°Legalise Dog Meat. Sign My Petition.¡± As anyone would expect, dog lovers and pet enthusiasts jumped at the man demanding an explanation for his disturbing demand.?
People on the internet echoed those on the streets and wondered about the young man¡¯s motives behind waving such a want on a random street in Bengaluru. Twitter user Rugved shared a click of the man with the sign and voiced his disgust at the thought of consuming a dog.?
Not just him, but others also joined in to slam the man on the streets. One user shared how they also bumped into the rallier on the streets of Bengaluru and wanted to have a physical altercation after reading his sign, while the poster shared that they didin fact fight with the man promoting dog consumption.?
While a majority could not believe their eyes, it seemed like vegetarians felt nothing when they saw the sign. One user claimed that they did not eat meat and the poster did not affect them much, but they were certainly confused why people who did consume other animals were so ruffled by the post.
One man on X believed that non-vegetarians should not have any problems with the sign and even called their hate ¡°fake.¡±?
To answer all doubts and console the lost souls in the comments of the post, a user came forward to explain why the man was waving around the bizarre sign. They explained that the man was using the petition as clickbait of sorts to get people talking about veganism.?
The man with the placard told the user, ¡°If you can eat chicken, why can¡¯t you eat dog?¡± After 30 minutes of baseless arguing with the imposter petitioner, the user grabbed the elephant in the room by the neck and asked, ¡°Why hold this sign if you¡¯re vegan?¡± To this, the man simply answered, ¡°Would you have stopped if it said ¡®be vegan¡¯?¡±
