Tiger King star Carole Baskin's former husband Don Lewis was apparently found alive and well in Costa Rica. That isn't the only shocking twist. The fact that Lewis is back from the dead--and not fed to the tigers as was alleged earlier--only surfaced a year later despite the show's wild popularity.
According to the New York Post, Carole interviewed with?ITV¡¯s ¡°This Morning¡± talk show in November 2021 which is when the shocking twist came to life.?It was only after Tiger King 2 aired that Carole claims she learnt Lewis wasn't dead after all.
As per reports, the Department of Homeland Security was involved in the case too and knew Lewis was alive all along.
¡°One of the really exciting things that came out of ¡®Tiger King 2¡¯ is that they produced a letter from Homeland Security and it says that a special agent in charge with the FBI at Homeland Security reached out to the sheriff¡¯s detective George [Jorge] Fernandez, which means this had to have happened after 2002 because Homeland Security wasn¡¯t even around until 2002,¡± Carole said during the?ITV interview.
¡°They said my husband, Don Lewis, is alive and well in Costa Rica,¡± she added. ¡°And yet all of this drama has been made about me having something to do with his disappearance when Homeland Security has known where he is.¡±??
Carole was surprised Lewis could sustain himself all these years after being declared dead in 2022. ¡°I didn¡¯t think he was capable of supporting himself. He took about a million dollars down to Costa Rica, I had agreed to let him do that so he could prove to himself that he could make a living.¡±
We repeat, this bit of news is at least a year old, and not surprisingly, the story's picking up online and already viral.
Big cat fan and keeper, Joe Exotic (Joseph Maldonado-Passage) had, in the show, accused Carole of having fed her husband to the tigers. And between fans lapping up that idea and a thousand other bizarre theories, the Big Cat Rescue star's fate was sealed.
That was until this moment.
