The less said about corporate culture the better. The one side to it is being forced to come back to office, dealing with the constant threat of being fired, silent layoffs and dry promotions... the list goes on. One aspect of this shallow concept is also working parents being told in no uncertain terms that they can't take a leave when their child falls sick. So what are they supposed to do? Let the child get sicker? Something of the sort happened to one person who took to Reddit to voice their angst.
Where would you report this kind of behaviour

?This whole business of controlling employees has reached a ridiculous stage it seems. In a recent post on Reddit,?u/__7_7_7__ asked, "Where would you report this kind of behaviour?" Right below the question was an image showing a notice a company, not named, had issued its employees recently. Be warned, it's 100 per cent infuriating.?
"Calling out because your child is sick is no longer a valid excuse to miss work and will now result in a write up. We do not employ your children and as such their sickness is not an excuse for you to miss work. Go team!" read the notice.
The post again triggered a debate on corporate work life and exactly how fulfilling (not) it is at the end of the day. Going by the recent news of a Wells Fargo employee dying at their desk and an entrepreneur ending up in the hospital due to gruelling work hours, apparently, there's no limit to just how far companies are willing to push their employees.
