?Apple recently launched a new wave of iPhones ¨C if we may call it that. With a promise of never-seen-before sleekness and exquisiteness came a price that might just force you to rethink what organs in your body are dispensable. The kidney jokes are for real.
Anyway, people who love all things Apple do not need to be convinced too much in order to upgrade their phones to the newer swankier versions. But, what if we told you that your new upgrade that costs upward of Rs 1 lakh might not do the most basic thing properly?

iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are supposed to be the apples of Apple¡¯s eye. However, some of them do not seem to charge as easily as they should. Ideally, as soon as the cable is plugged in the phone should begin charging. Apparently, that¡¯s not happening for some of the units. The phones have to be woken up by either tapping on the screen or using raise to wake, only then do they start charging. In some units, the problem is even more severe ¨C if you plug in the cable with the phone still asleep, you¡¯ll have to unplug it, wake up the phone and then again plug it back. In such units, simply waking up the phone while plugged in is not helping.
The Unbox Therapy channel put a few different iPhone XS units to test in their studio, opening the Pandora¡¯s box of complaints from the world over. There is a shit-storm of comments on Reddit and Apple support forums about this deficit. Do you blame them? Anyone who¡¯s paying THAT much for a phone would at least expect it to charge properly.
