Cases of animal cruelty are becoming increasingly common. It is high time some strict laws be devised against inhumanity of some people who treat animals ruthlessly and mercilessly. Another shocking incident of animal abuse has come forward, this time from Hyderabad. Images and video of a school security guard tying a dog to a bike and dragging it for over a kilometer are going viral.?
The dog has reportedly suffered multiple injuries after it was dragged on a road in Secunderabad. The incident came to light when Vadlamani Murthy, an animal rights activist, clicked pictures of the incident as proof and stopped the motorist from further hurting the poor animal.

Reportedly the stray dog was roaming inside Wesley Boys High School premises at PG Road. The security guard was apparently told by the principal to chase the dog away from the school premises, he instead tied it to a two-wheeler and dragged it for a kilometer.
This incident might remind some of the shocking case from Mumbai where a stray dog was beaten by security guards of a building. The dog was trying to take shelter from the heavy rain in a residential complex and the security guards beat it mercilessly with iron rods. The video of the incident went viral, the dog unfortunately died. He was called Lucky by the people who protested the brutal way in which he was beaten.?
They are living creatures too and do not deserve to be treated in this horrendous manner. The country needs stringent laws against animal cruelty.?
