Summers can be horrible in our country and this forces some people to do crazy things to beat the heat. Case in point: this Ahmedabad woman who meticulously coated her Toyota Corolla Altis with cow dung to keep it cool!?
With temperatures already soaring above 40 degrees Celcius in parts of India, even the AC seems ineffective.?
The Facebook page of Animal Helpline- Karuna Foundation recently posted these pictures which show a sedan covered in cow dung.
Another Facebook user Rupesh Gauranga Das, who claimed the owner of the car to be one Mrs Sejal Shah, wrote, 'Best use of cow dung I have ever seen'. He said they photos were taken in Ahmedabad.
Cow dung, as we all know, is extensively used in rural India, to keep huts cool during summers and warm during winters.?
So, it's not entirely a bad idea, except for the stench that it may produce. But it's not a very smart thing to do, the cow dung will most definitely rub off on the person touching the car, so you'll just be smelling like dung the whole time.
If you think the dung coating is crazy, another guy in Telangana used a thatched roof for his Jaguar.?
According to cartoq, the pictures show dried straw - the one used in coolers - fixed on top of the car.?
All this just proves that Indians are the kings of jugaad!?
