Imagine going on a fun-filled holiday to Goa, soaking in the sun and partying hard, when suddenly calamity strikes: your phone, an iPhone no less, is stolen!?
This terrible occurrence wasn't just about one individual from Delhi who just visited Goa. It took a strange turn when he realized what his stolen iPhone had been sold for: a plate of Pav Bhaji! Yes, you read it correctly.?
An iPhone worth anywhere from Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 1.5 lakh traded for a dish of only Rs. 100 at a neighborhood restaurant and possibly Rs. 500 at a classy one!
Sharing his ordeal on social media, user @KartikeyaRai11 detailed how his trip to Goa turned into a comically embarrassing situation after a pal spilled the beans on social media.??
Rai shared on X, "A drunk dude pickpocketed my phone in Goa (I was equally drunk) The drunk dude then got very hungry and went to eat bhaji pao in a small shop but he had no money to pay for it so he took out the red iPhone and tried to trade that for the bhaji pao, the owner took the phone from -"
Continuing in second tweet, "the thief and charged it and picked up our call after 36 hours of phone being lost and switched off. And he was sweet enough to give it back to us (we had to drive 60 kms to a random location outside the Goa city)"
It's up to you whether you laugh out loud or cry for this unexpected hero, but one thing is certain: the internet couldn't stop laughing at this story."Now that's a story for the grandchildren," laughed one reviewer.?
"Oh, the pao bhaji must've been THAT good," joked another with a sarcastic tone. And a third said, "Dayum, crazy story."
