A groom's baraat is usually made up of his family members and closest friends. However, in a bizarre incident which took place in Haridwar's?Bahadurabad area, a groom ditched his friends on his wedding day and left with the baarat prior to the time mentioned in the wedding card.?
According to reports, the friends who were left behind felt that this was an attack on their dignity, and has now filed a legal suit of Rs 50 lakh against the groom.?
The groom, Ravi, asked one of his friends to distribute the wedding cards on his behalf. His friend, Chandrashekar agreed and helped Ravi by distributing the cards. The wedding card specified that the wedding procession was supposed to leave at 5. However, when Chandrashekar and the rest of Ravi's friends reached his house as per the schedule specified on the wedding card, they found out that the baraat had already left.
Chandrashekhar called Ravi to ask about the confusion, and the latter told him and the others to return to their respective homes as they were late. This did not go down well with Chandrashekhar who went ahead and hired a lawyer. He also claimed that he was mentally tortured by the people who he invited on Ravi's behalf. Now, he is suing Ravi for a Rs 50 lakh defamation case.?
