The ¡®Yeti,¡¯ also referred to as the? Abominable Snowman, is a mythical legend ¨C an ape-like creature taller than humans,? believed to live in the Himalayas, Siberia, Central and East Asia.
Most of us only one person we know to have chanced upon this creature is, Tin Tin. Not anymore.?
In a post that reminded many of Tintin in Tibet episode, the Indian Army tweeted on Monday that its team had sighted mysterious footprints of the mythical beast Yeti.
During an expedition, the Mountaineering Expedition team came across mysterious marks measuring 32 X 15 inches. The Indian Army on Monday claimed to have sighted the 'mythical beast Yeti' near the Makalu Base Camp.
¡°For the first time, an Indian Army mountaineering expedition team has sited mysterious footprints of mythical beast 'Yeti' measuring 32 x 15 inches close to Makalu base camp on 09 April 2019. This elusive snowman has only been sighted at Makalu-Barun National Park in the past,¡± the Army¡¯s Additional Directorate General of Public Information (ADG PI) said in a tweet on Monday night along with couple of images of footprints in ice.
But soon the Indian Army's Yeti discovery was the butt of all jokes:?

The hunt for the mythical beast can be traced back to 1950s when a British explorer Eric Shipton when he sighted a series of abnormal footprints while he was looking for a way to climb the Everest.
The existence of a Yeti might be laughable because it's something that we believed in as kids, but if the Indian Army is to be believed, the creature is out and about in the Himalayas.?
