When someone complains about a leaky pipe, you probably expect nothing but some jammed hair or problem in the faucet. But can millions of substances stuck there be a problem??
Workers who were fixing a pipe in Sydney had the shock of their lives after finding loads of cash and crystal substances in Sydney, Australia. After finding said substances these workers?called the police, and officers from the Burwood Police Area command declared it a crime scene.
After the police started searching, they found out that there was ice, weighing in at 220 kilograms with a potential street value of $44 million. They also found out that the bags of cash were worth?$1.1 million.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald,?Detective acting Superintendent Stuart Gordon was in charge of this case. He said,?¡°That was after the discovery of suspicious items by a number of tradesmen who were doing work on the unit complex. I believe it was a leaky toilet and some plumbing. Those particular tradesmen have done the right thing.¡±
But that was not it. There were loads of drugs. There was also 95 grams of MDMA, 35 grams of cocaine and a number of chemicals used to manufacture gamma-hydroxybutyrate (GBH), gamma-butyrolactone (GBL) and ice.
The police have now released the pictures of all the things they have found and are looking for the man who hid all this stuff. They found the man's image through the CCTV image.?
The police found out that the man was walking along Minter Street, Canterbury about 8.10 pm on July 9, 2021.He is described as being of Asian appearance, about 170cm tall, of thin build, aged between 25-30, with short black hair.
The house was apparently a 'safe house' and everyone was shocked to have found the things they did in the house.?
The drugs and firearm squad commander said,?¡°I don¡¯t think any worker or any tradesman really anticipates going to work on a given day and tripping over hundreds of kilos of drugs and cash. Certainly, it¡¯s a good story to tell, I¡¯ve got no doubt, for some people. This sort of opportunistic discovery does happen. When people are involved in this sort of criminal activity, there¡¯s always that risk that they run. Information from the public very often triggers these sorts of investigations; we¡¯re very grateful.¡±
He even mentioned that the amount of drugs and cash that has been found shows that it was an organised crime. Proper investigation will be taking place from here on.?
