In a bizarre incident, two men in Maharashtra approached police for help in finding their wife who had allegedly eloped with a third man.
The woman has been untraceable since she left the home of her 'second' husband a few days ago on the pretext of visiting her hometown, The Times of India reported. It was reported that the woman befriended the third man on social media.
As per the police, the woman had a love marriage with her first husband. They have two children.?Four years after?marriage, the woman?met her second lover-turned-husband?after receiving a missed call from an unknown number.?
As love blossomed, they got married at a temple outside Nagpur two years ago. The man lays optical fibres for a living.
But, after the woman left him for the third man, the second husband reached out to the first husband to teach the third lover a lesson.?He convinced the first husband, and both then approached the Bharosa cell to lodge a complaint.?
The second husband had approached Sonegaon police station earlier and had filed a non-cognizable offence.??
Senior inspector Seema Surve, in-charge of the Bharosa cell, said that although the second man was keen to get the woman back in his life, but the first?husband did not want her back?at all.??
"Bharosa cell did not register the complaint, but we guided the men to approach Sonegaon police station to lodge a complaint about the third paramour and the woman. Since there was no domestic violence, we felt local police station can legally deal with the situation better," Surve told TOI.
Last year, a similar incident came to light, where a woman in Assam was said to have allegedly run away 25 times with different men in the last 10 years.
The woman has ¡®eloped¡¯ with different men 20-25 times since she got married, according to her father-in-law.?She has since returned to her home and her husband had said he was willing to 'accept her',?India Today?reported.? ?
