As the couple's relationship soured, Devi's sister, Krishna, offered them counseling at her house on Saturday, according to the police.
Allegedly, in a fit of anger, Vaishnav struck Devi's head multiple times with a cooker, resulting in her death, according to the police.
Around 4 p.m., Krishna attempted to call both of them. When they did not answer, she became suspicious and went to their residence, where she discovered Devi's body. Based on her complaint, the police arrested Vaishnav.
