Man Claims He Found Pieces Of Glass In His Pizza, Domino's Responds With 'No-glass Policy In Our Kitchen'

Imagine you are eating scrumptious pizza and you find glass pieces in it. Sounds like a nightmare, right? Well, a man from Maharashtra came face-to-face with this unwanted situation when he ordered a Domino's pizza, and you guessed it, there were small pieces of glass in his pizza. Talk about appetite killers.?

Maharashtra man claims he found glass in his Domino's pizza

Sharing pictures issue on social media was a Twitter user @kolluri_arun. He shared two images of glass pieces in pizza and wrote, “2 to 3 pieces of glass found in @dominos_india This speaks volume about global brand food that we are getting @dominos @jagograhakjago @fssaiindia Not sure of ordering ever from Domino’s @MumbaiPolice @timesofindia”.??

A user asked Arun if there was any chance that the pizza box was not sealed and had been tampered with. He confirmed that the box was sealed and that he had ordered it via the food delivery platform Zomato. Zomato responded to the tweet and wrote, “Hi Arun, this shouldn’t have happened. We are looking into this and will get back to you ASAP.”??

This did not go down well other patrons

The issue didn't sit well with many users as some said that the food chain has really stopped caring about the customers. A user wrote, "Now a days Domino’s quality has gone bad and their staff doesn’t treat customer well. I have stopped eating from domino’s after my last visit 15 days back,"

?To this, another user responded and wrote, "True Dominos thinks that they don't need customers anymore and their brand is more stronger than the customers."

Domino's responded with a statement

According to a Money Control report, Domino's spoke about the incident and claimed that they have a 'no glass' policy in the kitchen. The brand said, "As a responsible brand, we immediately contacted the customer upon receiving the concern to ascertain the facts of the matter through various channels of communication. Our quality team has also conducted a thorough investigation of the restaurant in question and no anomaly was found in the inspection. We follow a strict no-glass policy in our kitchen and operation area.”
