Fashion is a big part of a human¡¯s life, at least for those living in the cosmopolitan. It is how we express ourselves and maintain our "aesthetic." It can be armour as well as a portal to the very core of a human personality.?
Seeing how important a fashion statement can be, a man on the internet is proving his conviction to always look chic.
A recent viral post on Reddit has left the internet quite puzzled. An unidentified individual went on the platform and shared a picture under the handle Double22duece.?In the photo, a man is seen wearing grey Calvin Klein underwear on his waist, much like all the famous celebs do; however, the only difference is that his is a tattoo imitating the real underwear.
The ink is designed such that it gives the illusion that the man is wearing the briefs as their waistband peaks out above his jeans on his back. The photo surfaced on the internet as the user shared the image and declared, "Nothing comes between me and my Calvins."
The user cleverly references the popular 1980s advertisement for?Calvin Klein jeans. The ad featured American actress Brooke Sheilds. In the commercial, a young Shields uttered the tagline, "You want to know what comes in between me and my Calvins? Nothing."
If you have been on the internet long enough, you are bound to have stumbled upon one or two celebs from around the world who have gone viral after a titillating photoshoot with the brand.?
So, what is it that makes the?underwear brand such a coveted choice in the market? For the past 25 years, the brand has been a constant hit, especially with the desired waistband. The brand is not only famous for its quality of products but has also soared through the years because of the status symbol it endorses.
The brand is best known for its simple yet salacious brand campaigns. Often shot in black and white with supermodels and popular celebs as the models, these marketing campaigns end up becoming an aspirational reference for many of their target audiences.
Sam Diss, a style writer who wore it in the 1990s, thought the reason behind the brand¡¯s success was that "It gave you a taste of being Mark Wahlberg without the talent or the hours in the gym." He added, "In a decade with no real original aesthetic, it remains a much-needed piece of easy iconography to latch on to."
