We remember the collective nightmares that plagued us when the 1997 'Anaconda¡¯ film series first premiered in cinemas. Even the thought of encountering a much smaller anaconda than the blood-thirsty monster in the film would be the ultimate horror. But for one man, these creatures are rather kissable.
Mike Holston, an online content creator boasting 7.4 million Instagram followers and over a million subscribers on YouTube, posted a video where he was seen handling an anaconda with bare hands.
A large number of individuals would never dare to engage with an anaconda, a snake species renowned for its immense strength. Yet, a recent video has emerged depicting a wildlife handler ¡°disturbing¡± an anaconda in its natural environment, ultimately managing to tame it.
He posted a clip displaying himself extracting an anaconda from the damp marshes of Venezuela using only his bare hands, proceeding to tightly grip the snake for a video.
Anacondas are native to the waterlogged plains of Venezuela, known as the Llanos. Cinema portrays them as aggressive and has perpetuated a myth suggesting anacondas attack humans. In truth, anacondas are solitary beings and seldom engage in attacks on humans.
Holston, recognised as 'The Real Tarzan', shared this clip on his Instagram profile on November 15. The brave adventurer took the life-threatening step during an expedition to the swamps, where he was accompanied by other curious minds.
Despite amassing over 300K likes, numerous individuals used the comment section to criticise Holston for disrupting wild animals in their native environment.
