Our first reaction when we see a snake is to run in the opposite direction or resort to killing them. But a little kindness goes a long way and applies to these reptiles as well. One brave man shut down all debates on the subject when he effortlessly, and bravely, pulled out a helpless snake out of the washing machine he was fixing. Here's what went on.

Humans are more or less unlucky when it comes to with snakes,?whether it's?getting your pet snake to listen?or trying to avoid them?on a flight. But this one's an eye-opening moment since the man's first reaction was not to come charging at the snake with a stick, but to gently tug at him, and pull him out of the washing machine. There was a woman standing next to him with a bag inside which he gently placed the tiny helpless snake. It's people like him that help redeem humanity, even if by an inch.

The video, originally shared by Instagram user @brii1993 and reposted by The Pet Collective on May 12, has 126k likes with comments to match. "Where do you live? Just so I don't move there bc of this," asked one. "These are Garter snakes! If you live in north or Central America, you're bound to find one of these guys in your garden or under tall grass/bushes.They're one of the most common reptile in the US I'm pretty sureThey're very timid and avoid people, most of the time slithering away if you approach one. If you're ever out on a walk and see a gray or black thing zooming away, it's probably one of them! They're cool lil guys, the one in this video is pretty damn large for one. They're usually only about a foot or so," explained another.?
"But it was in her washer !That's not typical for a garder snake and they get longer than a foot long from what I've seen in Vancouver island," wondered a third.
