In a shocking incident, a Russian man was found alive about one month after being mauled by a brown bear that broke his back and dragged him to its den to keep him as food.?
According to Siberian Times, the severely wounded man has been described as a ¡°speaking mummy¡± because rescuers got a shock when he spoke after being taken out from the den.
¡°The man remembers his first name but not his age and was reportedly in the den for around one month - drinking urine to survive,¡± reported The Siberian Times.
The report states that a group of hunters with their dogs found the man named Alexander in an emaciated state. He was then?rushed to hospital where he was diagnosed with a broken spine while trying to fight of the wild animal.?
Unfortunately, the bear overpowered Alexander and the next one month was no less than a nightmare. He was forced to drink his urine to survive.?
Apart from a broken spine, Alexander suffers from severe malnourishment, and necrosis¡ªa condition where parts of his body had begun to rot and wide lapses in memory.?
'He was described as having ¡®severe injuries and rotting tissue¡¯ from lying motionless for so long in the den. ¡®Local medics say they cannot explain how the man survived such injuries,¡¯ loca reports state.

Video shows medics asking the man his name, prompting him to reply "Alexander." Medics said the man could move his arms but is otherwise immobile and exhausted.
Brown bears are known to stash their prey feats on them later and Alexander was kept inside the den for the same. The exact location where he was found has not been revealed, nor the name of the hospital where he was treated.
A spokesman at the health ministry in Tuva Republic, a region in southern Siberia, said: ¡°We cannot confirm the case happened in Tuva.
¡°It was not registered by the Ministry of Health, the Emergencies Ministry or any other official body (in the region)."
Earlier this year, a man¡¯s corpse was found in Russia in the same state, an Express report states that the mummified remains with gouged eyes were found in oil-rich Tatarstan region. Investigators believe that he¡¯d been killed by a brown bear and his remains had been stashed for later consumption.?
