We're all familiar with how google maps work and the street view feature of it is as real as it can get. Google Maps, and by extension Street View, collects a staggering amount of data about locals, and many people have been harnessing the power of the service for fun or just to check out the unknown.?
However, google maps users were left shocked after a man was seen completely naked in an unblurred image.?
The image was shared on the Reddit page r/GoogleMaps on Tuesday where this man was seen waving at the camera from a bedroom, holding a cup in his other hand. So, obviously, the guy was not hiding his private parts or was even trying to do so.?
The picture is available on Google Maps¡¯ Street View feature which is typically used to show users stunning panoramic photos of landscapes around the world ¨C in northern Beijing, China.??
Most Street View images are provided by Google itself.?
However, users can submit their own snaps which are then filtered before being uploaded. However, this man apparently learnt a trick to speaking past the filtration system since nudity is not allowed on Google Maps.?
Responding to the stark discovery, one Reddit user commented, ¡°That¡¯s nonsense man.¡±Another wrote: ¡®Man must have a hobby. A third user commented: 'Yuk. Why is this on Street View?'
This is not the first time that people have discovered unusual things on Google Maps. Last year many people shared images of their loved ones going about their day even though they have passed away.?
Another user named Karen shared a picture from google maps where she could see her now-deceased father gardening at his house.?She captioned the picture, "My dad died 3 years ago, but on Google maps, he is still doing some gardening which he loved."
There was another image that left Google Maps users divided. The image was of a hollow and blacked-out island that left the internet totally stunned. However, one of the users did mention that the blue colour around the island is a painted-in colour so the oceans look uniform on the maps. Islands are added by erasing some of that blue to let the satellite image show through.
Amazing what technology can show us.?
