In devastating news for beer lovers, thousands of litres of freshly-brewed beer in NCR¡¯s microbreweries is reportedly going to be dumped.
According to a TOI report, about 50 microbreweries across the NCR are looking at a loss of over one lakh litres of beer.?
Fresh beer unlike bottled beer has short life span. When the lockdown was announced, most breweries were filled to capacity and had been maintaining their stock since. However, after learning about the lockdown being extended, it was a lost cause.
And while customers can't walk into these breweries, given the lockdown, even home delivering freshly brewed beer isn't apparently a likely option for those running these joints as they have reportedly not received permission from the state government.?

As breweries stare at losses, they might find it hard to pay their employees and keep operations running if the state government does not help them.?
