The Internet can be a dangerous place for people, especially those working with film and media industry who've made factual errors during a live telecast.?
And for a long time now, Pakistan media has given people on both sides of the border some priceless jokes and memes to savour for all eternity.
Joining the bandwagon of those who've been royally trolled on online is this anchor from Pakistan who confused Apple Inc. with the apple fruit, on television.
A clip of the incident has been going viral on Twitter. In it, the woman anchor can be seen chatting with a panelist who is presumably talking about Apple Inc., the company behind the iPhones and MacBooks.
The bemused panelist then corrects the anchor: "We are talking about Apple phones here, not the fruit".
¡± This unfortunate but hilarious incident has caused the anchor to get trolled on social media for not quite figuring out the context mentioned by the panelist.
ANI reports that a Pakistani journalist uploaded the clip on social media on July 4, and it went viral. The panelist responded to the anchor¡¯s oblivious statement by saying, ¡°I am talking about the Apple company, not the fruit.¡±
Twitter immediately reacted to this gaffe by teasing the anchor with one user calling it ¡®news channel or comedy show¡¯ while another said, 'that is why people say an apple a day keeps the doctor away but they don¡¯t say psychiatrist away.'
Another user took a cheeky dig at Pakistani media by stating, ¡°Level of Journalism in Pakistan!!¡¯ while another said, ¡°Poor anchor still thinking about grocery after the show.¡±
