We've all had a horrid start to a busy work day, from getting stuck in traffic to getting stuck in an elevator and it can more often and trigger a 'hulk' like anger in all of us.?
But when the same thing happen to Pope Francis, things are slightly different. The Pope had a annoying start to the day when he got stuck in an elevator for fifteen minutes.?
Unlike the rest of us, the incident left thousands of people waiting in St Peter's Square in Vatican City?waiting?to get a glimpse of the Pope, utterly impatient.?
After getting rescued off the faulty lift, Pope handled the situation with absolute suave.?
?"I have to apologise for being late," the smiling 82-year old pontiff told crowds of faithful patiently waiting for him to appear at his study window overlooking Saint Peter's Square.
In his address to the?crowd, Francis?said that he got stuck in the elevator for a good 25 minutes before firemen came in to recuse him.?
"There was a moment of great worry over what could have happened to him," said Vania De Luca, Vatican expert for Rai News.
"I was trapped in a lift for 25 minutes, there was a power outage and the lift stopped, but then the firemen came," Reuters report quoted the Pope as saying.
"Let's give a round of applause to the fire service," he then said, prompting cheers and applause from the crowd.
Yes, getting stuck in traffic or an elevator is a horrible start to the day, but you always have a choice to smile and make a joke out of the situation, just like the Pope did.
All you need to do is smile through the petty inconveniences in life and things will fall in it's place.?
