In a new COVID-19 issue, many children are developing certain symptoms, even after a month of recovering from COVID-19.
City doctors were surprised by one such case, where a child was brought to the Aster CMI Hospital with MIS (multi-system inflammatory syndrome), 45 days after recovery from COVID-19.
Dr Srikanta J.T, the paediatric pulmonology consultant at the hospital, told The New Indian Express, ˇ°We are seeing children come down with MIS, atypical Kawasaki disease or toxic shock syndrome, around 30-45 days after getting COVID. MIS is an intense inflammatory reaction to the virus. We still do not know why the symptoms appear 30-45 days after they recover from COVID-19.ˇ±
