In a bizarre incident, a suspect fled a traffic stop on foot - and then stole a patrol car from police, resulting in a massive manhunt.?
Cops in US' Alabama are searching for Tyler James Freeman who was last seen?on foot on Perkins Wood Rd off of Highway 67 in Somerville, The Daily Beast reported.?
The Morgan County Sheriff¡¯s Office posted Saturday on Facebook that a Somerville officer was making a traffic stop when the driver attempted to drive away, then fled his car on foot. He allegedly then stole the Somerville officer¡¯s patrol car, which was found on Perkins Wood Road.
It was not known why police tried to?stop?Freeman's?vehicle.?
It was reported that the suspect bolted out of his car with an officer in hot pursuit. It meant the officer was not in the police car and Freeman allegedly took full advantage of that, hopping in and speeding off. The patrol car was later found but Freeman was in the wind.? ?
"Deputies are searching for a white male Tyler James Freeman (grey shirt, grey sweatpants) last seen on foot on Perkins Wood Rd off of Highway 67 in Somerville," the Morgan County Sheriff's Office said in the post.?
"A Somerville Police Officer attempted a traffic stop on an individual who attempted to elude. The subject eventually left his vehicle on Black Rd and ran on foot but was able to steal the Somerville Patrol Unit and flee. The patrol unit was located on Perkinswood Rd where the subject is believed to be on foot," it added.?
In an update later, the?Sheriff's Office said that they had called?off the search. ¡°Warrants will be obtained for the subject. We will pick him up another day,¡± it said on Facebook.
The Morgan County Sheriff's Office says Freeman doesn't have a violent history and is not believed to be armed, but they're asking anyone who sees him or has any information to call?911 or 256-350-4613.?

The incident took place last week?off the Ayamonte coast of Spain, near the city of Huelva.
The footage of the dramatic chase shows agents of the Maritime Service of the Spanish Civil Guard chasing the suspected?drug dealers?who are seen tossing their cargo into the sea.?
The agents initially saw two people in a boat equipped with three engines, Spanish police said in a report posted online.
As soon as the people aboard the?boat?detected the police presence the suspects boarded another vessel, an inflatable boat, to flee, leaving the first boat that was observed empty.??
However, they soon realised they weren't getting away and following the instructions of the officer they turned off the boat engines, which presented the opportunity for the police to arrest them.??
