Video: Internet In Uproar Over Video Of Tourists Disturbing Tibetan Wild Asses In Ladakh

Tourists often disrupt the wildlife of places they visit by getting too close, making loud noises or attempting to touch or feed the animals. This can alter natural behaviours and endanger both the animals and tourists themselves.?

Apart from that, some tourists also engage in activities such as illegal hunting, fishing or collecting of natural resources, which can harm local biodiversity and disrupt ecological balance.

Tourists chase Tibetan wild asses?

The video, which was published on Twitter by Indian Forest Service officer Susanta Nanda, shows a fast car chasing a herd of Tibetan Wild Asses who are urgently escaping the approaching vehicle.?

Nanda captioned the video, expressing his anger at the tourists' inappropriate attitude. "Tourists in Ladakh chasing Tibetan wild asses." "Horrible," he wrote.?

The video has received more than 100k views and is still growing. Social media users expressed their outrage and demanded harsh punishment for those implicated.?

One user urged that such travellers be barred for life and rightly so.

Another man suggested that we need to do better in terms of how the cars should be used. They pointed out how a car is always shown off-roading in?advertisements. The man also suggested that we need defined paths in such areas as well.

Another man suggested that the car of the tourist be seized and rammed by a?road roller in front of him, and that he be slapped with a fine of 1.5 lakh with a jail term of six months. "No TOURIST will ever do it again," he wrote.?
